How to register/control account with SMS

SMS

Access your BetYanga account anytime, anywhere with the SMS feature, simply by sending keywords to 4297 via SMS or by dialing BetYanga’s dedicated USSD code *4297#. With the SMS betting feature you are able to:


  • 1. Register an account
  • 2. Request betting offer
  • 3. Place a bet
  • 4. Check your BetYanga balance 
  • 5. Withdraw your winnings
  • 6. Check your ticket status
  • 7. Cancel your ticket

Note: Make sure you are accessing SMS/USSD feature only with the phone number that is registered with your BetYanga account. SMS and USSD charges apply.

With SMS feature you can access many betting options by sending corresponding keywords to 4297.

Below is step by step guide how to do it.

HOW TO REGISTER

To register via SMS

  • 1. Send BetYanga to 4297
  • 2. You will receive an SMS where you have to accept BetYanga’s Terms and Conditions by sending “ACCEPT” to 4297.
  • 3. Send ACCEPT to 4297
  • 4. You will receive another SMS with your username and password.

HOW TO DEPOSIT

Deposit using your Mobile Money carrier wallet (available only with Mpamba and Airtel Money)

  • 1. Go to your Mobile Money carrier’s menu
  • 2. Select BetYanga
  • 3. Select Pay Bill / Deposit
  • 4. Follow the prompts
  • 5. Enter the amount you want to deposit on your BetYanga account
  • 6. You will get a POPUP from your Mobile Money carrier with your passcode to approve the transaction, by entering your Mobile Money PIN.
  • 7. You will receive an SMS from your Mobile Money carrier to confirm the transactions was successful.
  • 8. The funds are credited on your BetYanga wallet.

HOW TO CHECK BETYANGA ACCOUNT BALANCE

Send “BALANCE” to 4297

You will receive an SMS with your current BetYanga account balance.


HOW TO REQUEST BETTING OFFER

  • 1. Send “TOP” to 4297

    • You will receive an SMS with game_id (codes) for most popular events.

  • 2. Send “UPCOMING” to 4297

    • You will receive an SMS with game_id (codes) for events that are about to start soon.

HOW TO PLACE A BET

How to place a single bet 

  • 1. Send an SMS to 4297, in the following format – “BETgame_id#market_selection#amount” for example “12345#X#50”.
  • 2. After sending the correct keyword, you will receive an SMS confirming that the bet was placed successfully.  

How to place a multiple bet

  • 1. Send an SMS to 4297, in the following format – “BETgame_id#market_selection#event_id#marke_selectiont#amount” for example “12345#X#54321#2#50”.
  • 2. After sending the correct keyword, you will receive an SMS confirming that the bet was placed successfully.   

Note: Keyword BET ffollowed by game_id is required, game_id is the code of the event that you have received by requesting betting offer.

Example, you have received the message with betting offer as following:

ID:2361 – 00:40

In this specific example game_id are 2361 and 2156.

So, your multiple bet should look like: BET2361#X#2156#1#100

HOW TO WITHDRAW

To withdraw your winnings.

  • 1. Send W#amount (amount that you want to withdraw) to 4297. Example, W#1000 send to 4297.

You will receive an SMS from Mobile Money that confirms the money is credited to your Mobile Money wallet.

NOTE: Withdrawals are credited into the Mobile Money wallet registered with your phone number that you are initiating withdrawal from BetYanga account.

HOW TO CHECK TICKET STATUS

To check the status of your ticket

Send CHECK#BetID to 4297

You will receive an SMS with the status of your ticket.

HOW TO CANCEL A TICKET

To cancel your ticket

Send CANCEL#BetID to 4297
